EventSource.org lists links by bid amount, from highest to lowest. Links with the same bid amount are listed alphabetically. Bids can be purchased for a link at any time, by anybody, and all bids are counted toward a link's total bid. The top 10 bidding links are displayed prominently on the home page, and the single highest bidding link is displayed at the top of every page.

One of the best ways to increase your placement in major search engines like Google and Yahoo! is to be linked on other web sites that are relevant to the content of your site. EventSource.org is regularly visited by the major search engines, and all of the links displayed on these pages are indexed and followed. Since EventSource.org limits its listings to web sites dealing with event and party planning, this site is definitely relevant to the content of the links we index.

Adding a link is easy. Just buy a link and place a bid to activate it.

If you added your link you should have been sent directly to the link details page, where you can place a bid. An email is also sent to the address for all new links with instructions on placing your first bid.

If you look below the description under each link, you'll see a line of orange text that indicates how much was contributed to EventSource.org for that link's placement. To have your link appear ahead of another, all you need to do is increase your bid amount so that it is at least $1 more than the link you are trying to get ahead of.

To increase a bid on an existing link, simply find that link and click the words "Increase bid for higher placement".

The "Top Featured Link" that appears in the top right corner of every page on this site is the single highest bidding link on the site. If you increase your bid to an amount greater than the current Top Featured Link, your link will become the new Top Featured Link.

You must click the Activate My Bid link on PayPal after payment. If you placed a bid but it was never counted toward your link, please contact us with details of the transaction and the email address that payment was issued from. Your bid will be applied as quickly as possible.

Screenshots can take up to 24 hours to appear, from the time your link is approved and begins appearing in the directory. Please be patient! If more than a day has passed and you're still not seeing your screenshot, contact us and we'll see what we can do to fix it.

Once listed, your link is displayed permanently. As time passes you can increase your bid to keep your link at the top of the listings.
